Entrance Examinations

As per the university entrance requirements, citizens of countries other than Russian Federation, foreign school graduates and those that graduated from Russian high school before 01.01.2010 have to pass entrance examinations in the flowing subjects:

 

for Bachelor of Management programs:

 

  • math (in Russian language)
  • Russian language
  • social science (in Russian language)

 

for MITM (Master of International Tourism Management) program:

 

  • Economics and Management (available in both Russian and English languages)

 

Russian Unified State Examination (ЕГЭ) certificate holders (Russian school graduates) are exempt from entrance examinations. Their Russian Unified State Examination results will be accepted provided they are taken in the same subjects as listed above.

 

Entrance examinations are written examinations prepared and evaluated at the main campus of Saint-Petersburg University of Engineering and Economics. They are based on the Russian high school and university curricula in given subjects.

 

Examination dates will be set at flexible schedules at ENGECON Dubai premises from 20 May to 20 August 2012. Please e-mail to market@rudubai.ru stating desired dates and timings.

 

All registered applicants* are allowed to take a Practice Test at the university premises at any time to evaluate his/her abilities and decide on necessary preparation.

 

*Applicants are considered registered only after the submission of the Registration
  Form and the payment of the registration fee of AED 400 (non-refundable).

  • Number of courses and mode of study depend on the applicant’s knowledge level and course availability
  • Each course consists of 24 academic hours (1 academic hour is 45 minutes), or 12 classes, 1.5 hours each.
  • One group course takes from 4 to 6 weeks depending on the frequency of classes.

 

 

Russian Test Preparation Courses

 

Russian University Entrance Exam Preparation Courses are designed for both native Russian and bilingual speakers willing to be admitted to Saint-Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics or any other university in Russia

TORFL (Testing of Russian as a Foreign Language) is an internationally accredited test of proficiency in Russian. It is established as a part of the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE) and is accepted world-wide as a proof of one’s skills in the Russian language.

 

Programs

  1. Elementary TORFL Preparation Course is aimed at upgrading language skills of those who completed a regular Russian Elementary-2 course to a TORFL Certificate level (A-1). Starting every summer.

 

  1. Basic TORFL Preparation Course is an intensive course aimed at upgrading the language skills of those who completed a regular Russian Intermediate-2 course to a TORFL Certificate level. Starting every autumn.

 

  1. Russian for Academic Purposes (TORFL-1 Preparation Course) is a super-intensive course aimed at upgrading the language skills of those who completed a regular Russian Advanced-2 course to a TORFL Certificate, Level 1. Starting every winter.
